In need of somewhere to eat, the hungry visitor starts her quest on Omonia Square in the city centre, an open space surrounded by busy roads in a commercial district that was once part of the old city. Anyone with a nose for antiquity will soon be heading in the right direction, because in just a ten minute walk from here is the restaurant Archeon Gefseis (Ancient Tastes). And a knowledge of antique literature also helps to sharpen the appetite.
Your nose guides you westwards, through the commercial district of Metaxourgio. Here there once stood a silk factory, as the name itself informs us. The route to the restaurant takes us past countless shops that fire the imagination, because here they sell things the Norwegian visitor could never buy in the shops back home.
